We’re Still Open! 5 November 2020 Thanks to our incredible and dedicated team, our shops and cafe remain open throughout the pandemic and current lockdown, providing our loyal customers with their essential Herefordshire groceries and takeaway food. From Thursday 5th November 2020, in line with government guidance, our Cafe will be offering takeaway food and drink only. Our Bromyard and Hereford Shops remain open, with measures in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of both staff and customers. We continue to offer both Local and Nationwide Delivery of all our products meaning that you can continue to have “The Tastes if Herefordshire Delivered to Your Door”. Rest assured that we have the strictest health and safety measures in place as we continue providing an essential service. Our teams continue to follow existing food hygiene guidance provided by the Food Standards Agency as a minimum requirement. We strictly adhere to advice and updates from Public Health England. Below we have shared some of our FAQs and details on the safety measures in place at Legges. ARE YOU OPEN? Yes. Our Bromyard and Hereford Shops, as well as our Cafe remain open. In line with Government Guidance, from Thursday 5th November 2020, our Cafe will be offering a takeaway service only. Please help us observe social distancing guidelines when visiting us. DO I NEED TO WEAR A FACE COVERING? In line with the latest government guidelines, we require that all those visiting our shops and cafe wear a face covering (unless exempt to do so). All Legges staff members in our retail areas and those managing our deli counters will be wearing a face covering. WHERE DO YOU DELIVER? Items ordered through our website can be delivered to addresses throughout mainland UK. Further details can be read on our delivery page. If you live near our shops, we are also offering a click and collect service. Simply place your order, which will be prepared by one of our team, and then we can place it straight into your vehicle without you having to enter the shop. Customers in Hereford can also order food from Legges via Uber. WHAT ARE YOUR STAFF DOING TO KEEP THEMSELVES AND OTHERS SAFE? We have conducted detailed Risk Assessments across all of our premises and continue to review these in line with Government guidance. All staff are aware of this Risk Assessment. All of our staff have access to hand washing facilities and are encouraged to wash their hands thoroughly and often – this is key as the government continues to confirm that hand washing is the single best control measure to prevent contamination. We have invested in hand sanitisers as additional safeguarding measures, which are available for customers to use. All Legges staff members in our retail areas and those managing our deli counters will be wearing a face covering, as will customers (unless exempt). Our staff are required to follow an illness reporting procedure should they have any symptoms, in line with industry standards. We operate the NHS Track and Trace system and ask that this visiting our premises scan the QR code upon entering. ARE YOUR SHOPS KEPT CLEAN? We continue to clean our shops and cafe regularly and thoroughly, in line with current advice, environmental controls and our existing food hygiene practices. We have procedures in place to ensure that regular, routine, cleaning is undertaken. Viruses like COVID-19 are easily killed by routine cleaning procedures such those we have implemented. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
