All of our pies are handmade in our shop, using locally sourced ingredients. 100% Herefordshire.
“I was taken to Legges, a butcher in Bromyard. This is the antithesis of everything you are told about rural shops. Big and bustling, with things that yelled “Eat me”, and almost everything collected within five miles of the shop. Its pie was made with short hot-water crust, perhaps not quite as much jelly as you’d like, but the meaty filling has a wonderful piggy flavour. the straight-up spicing of the white pepper gave it that characteristic palely hot afterburn. This was a round-voweled fistful of pie that knew its Ps from its Qs.”
